Culture Alignment & Performance Diagnostic™

See Where Alignment Is Breaking Down Before You Invest in the Fix

When culture, leadership, employee experience, and ways of working fall out of alignment, the effects show up everywhere.

You may see inconsistent leadership, communication breakdowns, disengagement, weak accountability, stalled change, poor collaboration, or uneven performance.

Diagnosis Before Intervention

Those issues may look separate. Often, they are connected.

The Culture Alignment & Performance Diagnostic™ helps your organization understand what is actually happening, where the gaps are, what is driving them, and what needs attention next.

Using our proprietary ALIGN Framework™, we combine employee input, leadership perspective, quantitative data, qualitative insight, and structured analysis to give your leadership team a clear, evidence-based view of the current culture and the barriers affecting performance.

Stop Guessing at the Problem

Organizations often respond to performance and culture challenges with another training, engagement initiative, communication campaign, or leadership program.

Sometimes those interventions are exactly what is needed.

Sometimes they are not.

The diagnostic is designed to help you determine that before you commit more time and resources.

We begin by understanding the current state, identifying where alignment is strong and where it is breaking down, and tracing those gaps back to their likely root causes.

From there, we help leadership define the culture and ways of working the organization needs, prioritize what should change, and create a path forward.

What the Diagnostic Examines

Every engagement is tailored to the organization's goals, priorities, and operating context.

Depending on scope, the diagnostic may examine areas such as:

leadership effectiveness
communication
employee engagement
accountability
collaboration and teamwork
organizational values and beliefs
employee growth and development
structure and role clarity
recognition and rewards
trust and integrity
employee experience
ways of working
readiness for growth or change

The diagnostic uses a standardized core survey to support consistency across participants and organizations. Up to 10 custom survey questions may be added to address organization-specific priorities or concerns, and focus group questions are developed to explore issues that are specific to the organization.

The Diagnostic Experience

A Structured, Confidential Way to Hear From Your People

Employees participate through a branded diagnostic experience designed to capture both measurable patterns and the context behind them.

Each participant receives secure access using a unique registration code and can save progress as they complete the experience.

The diagnostic combines:

Scaled Questions

Structured questions that capture employee perceptions across core culture dimensions.

Open-Ended Feedback

Prompts that give employees room to explain what is working, what is getting in the way, and what they believe needs to change.

Organizational Context

Optional information such as department or level can be used to identify meaningful patterns when enough responses are available.

The result is a focused listening experience that helps leadership understand both the patterns in the data and the employee experience behind them.

Designed for Honest Input

Confidential, Aggregate Reporting

CulturePulse provides employees with a confidential way to share their experience through scaled questions and optional written feedback.

Employee contact information is used to manage invitations and participation, but organizational leaders do not receive individual responses as named feedback.

Results are analyzed and reported in aggregate.

To protect employee anonymity, we report department- or group-level findings only when at least seven employees from that group participate. When fewer than seven responses are received, those responses are included in the broader organizational findings but are not reported separately for that department or group.

Written comments may be incorporated into the analysis to provide context and illuminate shared themes, without identifying the individual employee who submitted them.

For group-level reporting, results are only displayed when a segment includes at least seven responses. Smaller groups are suppressed to help protect anonymity.

Written feedback is presented as employee voice, not as a named response.

Branded for Your Organization

The CulturePulse experience can be configured with your organization's logo, colors, welcome message, and confidentiality language. The core survey remains standardized, with the option to add up to 10 organization-specific questions. Focus group guides are customized to explore the issues, priorities, and context that matter most to your organization.

The ALIGN Framework™

Our Five-Step Diagnostic and Alignment Process

A

Assess the Current Culture

We begin by establishing the current state.

This includes pre-assessment planning, stakeholder alignment, assessment customization, communication planning, confidentiality safeguards, survey launch, and other data-gathering activities.

The leadership team's view of the current culture is used as an important benchmark for understanding where gaps exist between leadership intent and employee experience.

Depending on the engagement, this phase may include: stakeholder kickoff meetings, employee surveys, leadership interviews, focus groups, qualitative and quantitative data collection, organizational culture results, cultural heat maps, and aggregated employee feedback.

L

Locate the Sources of Misalignment

We move beyond identifying symptoms to understanding what may be driving them.

Quantitative data is analyzed for trends, patterns, and outliers. Qualitative feedback provides context behind the numbers. Findings are organized so leadership can see where misalignment is occurring and how the different issues may connect.

This phase may include: gap analysis, root cause analysis, leadership working sessions, qualitative theme analysis, data visualization, cultural heat maps, and comprehensive findings reports.

I

Imagine the Aligned State

Once the current state and root causes are clear, we work with leadership to define what the organization needs to look like moving forward.

This is where leaders identify the culture, behaviors, expectations, and benchmarks that best support the organization's mission, values, strategy, and goals.

Deliverables may include a desired-culture vision and key benchmarks for measuring progress.

G

Generate the Alignment Strategy

Insight has to lead somewhere.

We translate the findings into a prioritized action plan that identifies what should change, what should happen first, who should own the work, and how progress will be measured.

This may include a step-by-step action plan, implementation milestones, KPIs, and a strategic roadmap.

N

Navigate Implementation

If implementation support is appropriate, we help leadership move from recommendations into action.

That may include progress reviews, feedback loops, leadership coaching, training, workshops, communication support, or other interventions recommended by the diagnostic findings.

Implementation support is scoped separately based on what the organization needs and whether ALCS is the right partner for the next phase.

What Your Organization Gains

The diagnostic gives your leadership team a clear, evidence-based understanding of:

Insights
  • where alignment is strong
  • where cultural drift is occurring
  • what employees are actually experiencing
  • what may be causing the most significant gaps
  • how those gaps are affecting leadership, execution, and performance
  • which issues require attention first
  • what actions are most appropriate next
Deliverables (depending on scope)
  • organizational culture assessment results
  • aggregated quantitative and qualitative data
  • cultural heat maps
  • gap analysis
  • root cause analysis
  • executive findings report
  • strategic recommendations
  • prioritized action plan
  • implementation roadmap
  • recommended KPIs and progress measures

What Happens After the Diagnostic?

The Findings Determine the Next Move

The diagnostic does not assume every organization needs the same solution.

Depending on what the evidence reveals, recommendations may involve:

leadership development
communication practices
accountability systems
team alignment
employee experience
organizational structure
leadership coaching
change support
facilitated leadership sessions
other organizational development interventions

Some recommendations may be implemented internally. Some may require outside specialists. When ALCS is the right partner, we may support selected implementation work. The goal is to help you identify the right problem before deciding how to solve it.

Ready to find out where alignment is breaking down in your organization? The diagnostic is designed to give you clarity before your next move.

Who This Is For

The Culture Alignment & Performance Diagnostic™ is designed for organizations that are experiencing issues such as:

inconsistent leadership
employee disengagement
communication breakdowns
weak accountability
high turnover
stalled change initiatives
restructuring
rapid growth
leadership transitions
collaboration problems
declining trust
performance issues that have not responded to previous efforts

It is especially useful when leadership knows something is off but does not yet have a clear view of the root cause.

When You Need More Than Another Survey

A survey can tell you what people are experiencing.

A diagnostic helps you understand what those patterns mean, what may be causing them, and what leadership should do next.

The Culture Alignment & Performance Diagnostic™ combines structured employee input, qualitative context, leadership perspective, and strategic analysis to give your organization a clearer starting point for action.
